Osaka – The hub of Japan's hottest tourist spots

The Kansai area is a tourist mecca for visitors to Japan. In addition to the natural beauty of the region there are five registered World Heritage Sites, numerous hot springs and several national parks. Many of these areas can be easily accessed in half or one day trips from Osaka, so why not leave your heavy baggage behind and venture out and enjoy the sites.

Kobe – Cosmopolitan Seaport
 
Kitano Ijinkan

Kitano Ijinkan is a designated historical district of Kobe and is located in the hills overlooking the city and port. The Kitano chou area has many European style houses built as the residences for foreign settlers in the area during the late Meiji and early Taishō eras of Japanese history. Some of the houses still serve as residences and many are open to the public. To access the area please walk north 10 minutes from Sannomiya station.


Arima hot spring

Arima Hot Spring is located in the northern part of Kobe and known as one of the oldest spa areas in Japan. There are two public bathhouses which can be visited during one-day trips. Visitors may take a limousine bus from Osaka station directly to the resort area. The trip takes approximately 60min from Osaka station and costs JPY1,330 per adult.

Take our complimentary shuttle bus to Osaka/Umeda station. Take the JR, Hankyu or Hanshin lines from Osaka or  Umeda stations bound for Sannomiya. The trip takes approximately 60 minutes from the hotel or from Umeda station and costs JPY310 (Hankyu, Hanshin line)-390 (JR line) per adult.

 
Kyoto – A city filled with a long and rich heritage

Kinkakuji
 
Kinkakuji or The Temple of the Golden Pavilion is located in the Kitayama district of Kyoto proper. The Reliquary Hall is a classic example of the aesthetics of Kitayama Culture from the Muromachi Period (1336 – 1573), but it was destroyed by fire in 1950 and rebuilt in 1955. In 1994, it was registered as an UNESCO World Heritage Site among the "Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto". Take a city bus from Kyoto station to the Kinkakuji-dou bus stop.


Kiyomizudera

Kiyomizu Temple is located in the Higashiyama area of Kyoto city and was built in 798. It has also been  registered as an UNESCO World Heritage Site among the "Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto". Kiyomizu Temple is a wooden structure built into a steep cliff, the stage is constructed using an architectural technique known as Kakezukuri which does not make use of nails. This is one of the more popular destinations in Kyoto and is lined with cobblestone streets and borders the gamed Gion district. Take the city bus from Kyoto station to the Gojozaka bus stop.

Nara – Japan's Oldest Capital
 
Todaiji

Todaiji was built by the Emperor Shomu during the Nara Period to protect the country in accordance with the teachings of Buddhism. It is home to the Great Buddha Hall which houses the largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana. As part of the UNESCO Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara, Todai-ji Temple was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1998. A 20min walk from Kintetsu-Nara station.

Take Newtram line from Nakahuto Station to Cosmosquare Station. Transfer to the Chuo line to Ikoma Station and from there transfer to the Kintetsu line bound for Kintetsu-Nara Station. The trip takes approximately 70 minutes from the hotel and costs JPY860 per adult.

 
Asuka Historical National Park

The Historical National Park of Asuka was developed by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport as a nature preserve and to protect the rich cultural heritage of the Nara area. Asuka village has many ancient tombs, shrines and temples constructed from around the end of the sixth century to the end of the seventh century and here among these ruins visitors may experience a glimpse of ancient Japan. A 7min walk from Asuka station.

Take Newtram line from Nakahuto Station to Cosmosquare Station. Transfer to the Chuo line to Bentenchou station. From there transfer to the JR line for Tennouji station. At Tennouji station take the Kintetsu Yoshino Limited Express train to Asuka. The trip takes approximately 70 minutes from the hotel and costs JPY1,620 per adult.

 
Wakayama – Beautiful green mountains and a wonderful coast line

Koyasan (Mt. Koya)


Koyasan is located in an 800m high valley amid eight mountain peaks and is known as the mecca of Japanese Buddhism. At one of Koyasan's many temples, visitors can join in the austere life of the Buddhist monks and experience writing sutra.

Shirahama

Shirahama is located on the western coast of Wakayama prefecture. "Shirahama" means white beach and is a well known  hot spring resort with its beautiful white beach. Here you may also experience many Works of Art Created by Nature.
